Il existe de nombreuses formes de tubes, mais aussi diff\u00e9rentes techniques de production, des tubes moul\u00e9s aux tubes extrud\u00e9s. Cela signifie que les polym\u00e8res de la famille du PTFE ne peuvent pas \u00eatre directement extrud\u00e9s comme les autres thermoplastiques.<\/p>\n<p>Ainsi, 3 proc\u00e9d\u00e9s principaux permettent de produire des pi\u00e8ces en PTFE en forme de tube :<\/p>\n<div class=\"column50b\">Le processus de moulage est un processus disponible pour les tubes et pour les formes telles que les plaques ou les b\u00e2tons. Il consiste en la compression de la poudre de PTFE, suivie d&rsquo;un chauffage \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature et d&rsquo;un refroidissement de la forme compress\u00e9e. C&rsquo;est par ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 qu\u2019on obtient par exemple les tubes utilis\u00e9s comme guide filament dans les imprimantes 3D, ou pour le transporter l&rsquo;eau potable et l\u2019a vapeur d\u2019eau sous pression dans de nombreux appareils \u00e9lectrom\u00e9nagers. Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 est le plus similaire aux extrudeuses habituelles, bien que le PTFE ne soit pas fondu. Tout comme l&rsquo;extrusion thermoplastique, les tubes \u00e0 paroi mince en PTFE peuvent atteindre quelques milliers de m\u00e8tres de long, selon le diam\u00e8tre du tube. Par rapport aux autres proc\u00e9d\u00e9s, on obtient  il permet des tubes de diam\u00e8tre plus petits, et de paroi plus fine. C\u2019est le proc\u00e9d\u00e9 qui permet d\u2019atteindre le plus petit diam\u00e8tre de la gamme.
