En for\u00e7ant le polym\u00e8re fondu dans une matrice, ce processus est \u00e0 la base de la production de tubes, de films et de rubans. Il est \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9 pour des profil\u00e9s plus complexes, par exemple des tiges ou des barres rectangulaires.<\/p>\n<p>Pour les thermoplastiques, l&rsquo;extrusion est importante car il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;un processus continu adapt\u00e9 aux produits de grande longueur. Pour fournir une qualit\u00e9 globale et des performances constantes aux plastiques extrud\u00e9s hautes performances, une grande stabilit\u00e9 du proc\u00e9d\u00e9 est requise : fusion, refroidissement et contr\u00f4le de la cristallinit\u00e9, vitesse et pression de l&rsquo;extrudeuse.<\/p>\n<p>Les tubes, les tiges, les films et les rubans ont chacun des exigences sp\u00e9cifiques. Par exemple, l&rsquo;extrusion de tubes de haute pr\u00e9cision n\u00e9cessite \u00e9galement un contr\u00f4le fin de l&rsquo;excentricit\u00e9 dans la fili\u00e8re, pour des parois de faible \u00e9paisseur ou des parois de tube \u00e0 faible tol\u00e9rance. C&rsquo;est pourquoi le PTFE n\u00e9cessite un \u00e9quipement et un savoir-faire sp\u00e9cifiques pour l&rsquo;extrusion.<\/p>\n<p>En fait, dans un tel proc\u00e9d\u00e9, un lubrifiant est ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 la poudre de PTFE. Le m\u00e9lange PTFE-lubrifiant devient une p\u00e2te molle, abaissant la viscosit\u00e9 apparente de la poudre fine de PTFE. La p\u00e2te peut alors \u00eatre forc\u00e9e dans une matrice d\u2019extrusion. Apr\u00e8s avoir acquis cette forme, le lubrifiant est retir\u00e9. C\u2019est le cas de l\u2019extrusion granulaire qui permet de produire des pi\u00e8ces, et notamment des tubes, plus \u00e9pais que l&rsquo;extrusion lubrifi\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;extrusion granulaire combine le moulage et l&rsquo;extrusion dans un processus continu, sans avoir besoin d&rsquo;un lubrifiant.
