Xytrex range of high performance polymers<\/h1><\/div>

XYTREX\u00ae<\/sup> products have been developed to offer better efficiency and reliability to pump systems, valves and compressors. They are made of high performance polymers reinforced with specific fillers for applications subject to shock and vibration.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

With more than 50 years experience, 3P has served the pump and valve industry by supplying components made out of specially formulated fluoropolymers (PTFE, PCTFE, PFA, FEP, etc.) and high performance polymers (PEEK, PEI).<\/p>\n

Xytrex\u00ae<\/sup> is a range of thermoplastic materials with wide applications in fluid handling systems, based on this experience.<\/p>\n

3P has strongly invested in developing its Xytrex\u00ae<\/sup> range. New solutions are regularly offered. As a result, more and more pumps, valves and compressors are switching from metallic parts to XYTREX\u00ae<\/sup> materials.<\/p>\n

Xytrex\u00ae<\/sup> materials are more and more used in refining and petrochemical plants. Some Xytrex\u00ae<\/sup> polymer materials are listed in the API 610 11th edition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Composite and compounds with unique properties<\/h2><\/div>

Xytrex\u00ae<\/sup> materials are based on virgin materials or compounds and composites. The solutions used may be based on well-known standard materials, or on proprietary fillers.
\nIn addition to the material know-how, the process plays an important part in reaching the desired properties. For example, special processes developed by 3P allow the use of cryogenic virgin PEEK or low permeation PEEK.<\/p>\n

    Compound for optimum wear resistance<\/h3>\n

    X451 is based on PEEK matrix with carbon fibers which enhance the compressive strength and stiffness. It offers the best choice for competitive wear resistance at high loads.
    \nX459 is a lubricated version of carbon-PEEK X451. Its improved coefficient of friction suits this solution for extended dry running applications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Material for high temperature<\/h3>\n

    X450 is a virgin PEEK solution. Its mechanical strength is essential for high temperature applications, with good chemical resistance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Low permeation compound<\/h3>\n

    X4502 is a high sealing grade. Based on PEEK matrix with proprietary fillers, the tuned transformation process allows fine control of the microporosity. Its low permeation properties make it irreplaceable for critical leak controls, where standard PEEK solution keep leaking.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Materials for cryogenic applications<\/h3>\n

    For cryogenic applications, you have now the choice between 2 solutions optimized whether for pressure or medium.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    X850 is a PCTFE based solution, preferred for cryogenic temperatures down to -255\u00b0C (-427 F). It also offers the best performances in gas barrier properties.
    \nX860 offers enhanced stability and resistance to cracking thanks to a post-treatment.<\/div>\n

    \"\"<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    X480 is a range of PEEK dedicated to cryogenic applications. It offer the best temperature range: it is used from cryogenic temperatures at -200C (320F) and up to 250\u00b0C. The transformation process of this selected virgin PEEK has also been improved to keep its chemical resistance, durability and toughness. Therefore, X480 is preferred when dealing with higher pressure than PCTFE.<\/div>\n

    Compounds for soft mating surfaces<\/h3>\n

    A-50F is a proprietary PTFE-based compound. It is designed for the most demanding applications. A-50F demonstrates low wear rates in dry applications. It wears approximately half as much as carbon graphite-filled PTFE. It is non abrasive and therefore recommended against soft mating surfaces like aluminium.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Large chemical resistance<\/h3>\n

    X751 is based on PFA with carbon fibers for reinforced mechanical properties and excellent dimensional stability. With its large chemical resistance, it fits any low to moderate radial load applications from -50 \u00b0C to 150 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Vibration reduction<\/h3>\n
    X115 is a PTFE based materials with the highest ductility in Xytrex\u00ae<\/sup> range.
    \nIt allows high vibration reduction at commissioning and easily replaces rubber bearings in vertical pumps with low pressure.<\/div>\n

    X120 is a PTFE-based material reinforced with carbon fiber and graphite. It is ASTM D4745 Grade 8 compliant. The addition of carbon fiber and graphite enhances the mechanical performance and wear resistance of PTFE, and lowers its expansion rate, while improving the coefficient of friction and allowing run dry or touch off. XYTREX\u00ae<\/sup> 120 is ideal for wear components with demanding requirement in vibration absorption to improve lifetime and operation.<\/div>\n

    Composite with high wear resistance and high load resistance<\/h3>\n

    XC\u00ae<\/sup>2 is a high performance composite made of continuous carbon fibers, manufactured by tape winding. It essentially replaces metals thanks to high strength, high wear resistance and low friction. XC\u00ae<\/sup>2 mechanical resistance is 3 times higher than stainless steel. It is then an excellent sacrificial part.XC\u00ae<\/sup>2-L is a lubricated version of continuous carbon XC\u00ae<\/sup>2. It is then an excellent sacrificial part.<\/p>\n

    XC\u00ae<\/sup>2-P is a high performance composite made of continuous and oriented carbon fibers. Its axial load capability makes it ideal for axial thrust and face loading applications. It offers shock & impact resistance and high dimensional stability.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
